Oasis Activity Centres
Oasis at Braintree and Rayleigh

Essex Dementia Care has established activity centres in Braintree and Rayleigh for anyone living with dementia. Braintree is open on a Monday and Rayleigh on a Wednesday; at both we are aiming to provide an active and stimulating environment which can accommodate the very special needs of the person with dementia.
We support carers too, with opportunities to meet and share with other carers, to join in the fun and share the load for a while, or simply to take some time out to recharge batteries.
What happens?
Our day runs from 11.00 till 3.30, with refreshments and a home-cooked lunch. You are welcome to drop in whenever you wish; we would just ask that you let us know in advance if you want lunch. Drama and story-making, art, music and dance, reminiscence and games are just some of the activities on offer.
How much does it cost?
The centre operates on a sessional basis:
Morning: 11 – 12.30
Lunch: 12.30 – 1.30
Afternoon: 1.30 – 3.30
Each session is charged at £14. A full day stay attracts a discount and is charged at £35. Carers are welcome free of charge.
