Pansies

Our Bradwell, Braintree Oasis group had a busy day painting their interpretation of the Pansy with wonderful results. There were some very interesting facts the group learnt about this beautiful flower: –

The bloom and leaves are all edible.
Pansies symbolise love, remembrance and nostalgia.
Their name supposedly came from the French word for thought – pensée.
They come in three basic patterns, but in lots of colours!
Not all pansies have a scent.
The Pansy is the February birth flower.

More beautiful Pansies this time from the Sandon, Chelmsford Group – such wonderful colours!

We have promised to help more people with DEMENTIA in 2024 and are happy to announce the opening of a new ‘Every Day Counts’ activity centre in WRITTLE, Chelmsford.
