Celebrating Margaret Preston

The ‘Everyday Counts’ group at Springfield carefully coloured in some art by the famous Australian artist, Margaret Preston. Preston is well known for her decorative paintings of Australian subjects and was one of the first non-indigenous Australian artists to use Aboriginal motifs in her work.

People easily become engrossed in colouring in and can forget about worries or problems at that time.  It is also great for hand-eye co-ordination, dexterity and gives an outlet for self-expression.

We have promised to help more people with DEMENTIA in 2024 and are happy to announce the opening of a new ‘Every Day Counts’ activity centre in WRITTLE, Chelmsford.
